I live in the middle of one of the most fertile areas on the east coast so fresh produce is practically given away here. EAT YOUR VEGGIES!!!! :D

I used to only eat veggies occasionally but now at my age: I eat as any as I can. I've grow to really enjoy veggies as much as anything else on the plate. And to add about how cheap the stuff is in summer around here:

This is what $11 got me: :)

That's what I miss about that third-world shithole called Florida. Fresh produce...locally...all year 'round

Other than seafood, not really, cause everybody's from someplace else.

But that's also the beauty. You can find excellent cuisine from pretty much anywhere in the world made by someone from there.

There's populations of folks from all over the planet that settled on America's Wang. Love cuban food? south Miami

Italian and jewish foods? along the coasts/banking sectors

best seafood ... pretty much everywhere.

central american and south american food that'll kill you if you don't eat it...all over the inland areas. also scattered about are some of the best carribbean bistros you've ever heard of outside of the islands themselves.

I love my veggies. Even my kids are growing up eating whatever we make, so they love veggies also, which is kind of unique for today's teenagers.

I pack the kids lunches with snacks of carrots sticks, apple slices, berries etc. and some candy bar. They usually come back with only the candy not eaten, because they did not have time. (When I was a kid I would have prioritized my time to get to the candy first) I am so glad they like veggies and fruit. I am a firm believer that eating healthy is directly related to being healthy (makes sense to me at least). Some other parents complain about their kids always being sick, but they eat mac & cheese, pizza and burgers every day - burgers without veggies of course.

    not fair!! :angrygirl:

You should try spinach salad with grilled chicken, bleu cheese, walnuts, apples, cranberries and raspberry vinaigrette. So good.

Got my kids hooked early on veggies. My son will munch on just about any raw veg you put in front of him. He was eating raw red peppers at the age of two. We rarely give them sweets or soda, that's a special treat every now and then.

Thanks. Needed a tad bit more salt as well.

Meat? I try to limit it to weekends. Not easy. Gotta get creative.
