    Is it just me or are you going to be dragging that spare all over the place going up a steep ledge? Looks like the lowest spot on your departure angle.

    I managed to bend the bolt on my rotopax a month or so ago, and I though they were way out of the way:

    I'm not too worried about it. I suspect the bottom of the bumper will drag first. :notsure: The tire seems plenty high. I didn't want it any higher than it is.

    I doubt it'll happen but it's always possible. The can carrier is well up above but the tire could. I doubt he will have issues though.

    I guess on the good side your spare tire is like a foot lower than mine. Should help keep the weight down low, which is probably more important than the rare occasion you might hit it. Anyways, bumper looks good man :thumpsup:

    Yeah that sounds like the perfect scenario to snap birfields. I wouldn't worry about going to 1-tons personally. Some longfield birfs and inners and you'll be just fine with 35's or 37's. I even see guys running 40's with longfields and they hold up good. I never had a problem with my SAS '93 running longs and I wheeled it hard with tons of torque from a Marlin dual ultimate t-case and 4.88's. Final crawl ratio was 223:1 so it had wicked torque. The thing with birfs is just avoiding situations where you have to back up with the front wheels turned full lock with the diff locked. That's the main one that will get you almost every time.
