2016 Tacoma

I wanted to see more changes to the design but it turned out to be a subtle change which is okay, i like it fine.

 

Full size trucks are getting better gas mileage than tacos these days

 

Hmmm...loaded Taco or base model FS...

 

If you wait till year end clearance you can get a silverado/sierra z71 with bells and whistles 4wd for $35k out the door. 3 of my coworkers did, and they get 20-23 mpg easily. I paid $34k otd for my 15 taco. lol. But mine is a forever truck.

 

I did too, with leather and heated seats. Sweet deal

 

My 2009 Sport was more than that with the dollars essentially at par at the time and that was without the Toyota factory leather and heated seats

I had a 2014 Sierra up until last month. It was a nice truck, rode like a cadillac. Just missed my taco too much.

 

If I did that, I wouldn't have a Tacoma. Isn't that the whole point?

It looks like a they slapped a few different design ideas together, its not very cohesive at all.

If I never heard of or saw a tacoma and saw both a 2015 & 2016 and asked to guess the "latest", I probably say the 2015, its more refined looking.

Besides that, like a lot have others have mentioned, it still screams 2nd gen.

I'm keeping my 13 until the 4th gen.

 

X2, love my Sierra. Dirt cheap, 10x as capable as a Taco and only slightly less gas mileage.

 

By your logic the Toyota Camry is only on it's 4th Generation then.

 

We'll see what they do with the drivetrain. Hitting it out of the park would be a stock motor with around 300hp/330 torque. A midsize tow vehicle, so one doesn't have to go fullsize to tow without bogging down on hills. Towing capacity can still be around 7000 lbs, but get the torque numbers up

 

My 14 TRD OR was 31k, plus this fee and that fee. Total amount with financing came to effing 40k

BUT SERIOUSLY WHATS UP WITH THE FRAME.

 

I'm really curious what numbers will it be putting out.

 

Stock Michelin tires instead of the bridgestone or dunlop garbage they have been using. It's a start. Probably only on the 20" Ltd wheels though. The back-up sensors are a nice feature too in this day and age of clueless unskilled drivers.

 

The Offroad is better looking.
Dunno about that 3.5L v6 though.
