    2" front spacers,1" add a leaf and 1 1/4 rear blocks.
Sorry guys, I'm sure this question has been answered already. But I am installing a 3" lift with 2" blocks in the rear. What to replace back shocks but i am not sure what to go with. Any help would be great. Thanks.

If you're on a budget, 5100s. Ditch the blocks and at least get progressive AALs..

Are those bilstein 5100's . They say they are only good for up to 1" lifts in the back. Also what are AAL's. Thanks

I had 5100s the first time with my 2" rear lift. After ruining both of them by over-extending, I bought OMEs. I would go OME.

I agree with geekhouse23, ditch the blocks and get progressive AALs (Add A Leaf).

I already bought the blocks. Are their any other brands that might work. I saw some Freedom shocks on EBAY that say will fit up to 3" lift in the back. Just never heard of the brand.

You can get Bilsetin 5150's I believe and they can handle 2" lift in the rear. I had 5100's with 2" rear AAL's and they worked out just fine but I didnt off-road a ton. An AAL is an extra spring for the rear suspension so a long flat like looking bar that goes on top of the stock leafs.

Sorry guys, forgot to mention that I have a 2014 TSS double cab. Not sure if that helps. Thanks

I was referring to the progressive AALs. Same idea OP, but 3 leafs instead of a single leaf:

Ditch the blocks and AALs and get a leaf pack.

If you were running 2" lift blocks that makes sense why they failed, if you were running a 2" lift AAL there is no reason at all the 5100 shocks would have failed.

I'll say this until I'm blue in the face... an AAL does not make it so the leaf packs droop out more or even requires the shocks to extend that much further. The only thing an AAL is doing is reinforcing the factory pack by helping it to maintain some arch; this is where the lift is coming from. The only additional extension needed out of the shocks using an AAL would be from the thickness of the AAL in which case a single AAL is only like 1/4" thick.

All the time people tell others “that shock won't work because the AAL is giving you 2" of lift and the shock can only support 1" of lift”. Well that's not accurate at all, it depends on the lift being used and how that lift impacts the factory setup.

5125 shocks are a good option over 5100s, they come in various sizes and have a stem to loop version. Only difference from the two is the valving, they are a little stiffer over the 5100s for our trucks.

Well, just installed my 3" leveling kit on my truck. Problem is now the traction control light is on. The alignment is off a little but not sure if that is what is causing the light to stay on. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks Chris

I had the same thing happen to me after I installed my lift. I think the alignment being so far off caused the light to go on. Clearing the code after I had it aligned solved the problem for me. Also make sure the wires aren't damaged by being stretched.

Check what the code is first. Sounds like one of the wheel sensors was either not reinstalled right or a their wire was damaged.
