So there are interior pictures of the OR and it does have a VSC off button, it and the various traction controls are on the ceiling above the review mirror. So you don't see them in most of the interior photos. But they are all there, so you can in fact disable everything traction related if you want.

I'm really curious to see the price tags on some of the models. That limited has a ton of features so I bet it's going to cost a pretty penny.

If the MPGs are a decent improvement, and the price tag isn't to hefty I might just have to trade my 2013 in. Here's to hoping Toyota offers to buy my Baja back this coming fall!

I don't know, maybe its just me, and if people want something bad enough they will pay, but I don't think majority of anyone on here can justify $40k (in USA) for a Tacoma. Then again 4Runners are in that ballpark easy when you are looking at TrailTeams 4x4 models, but then again you get nicer amenities in a 4Runner to go with that price tag.

I'd pay 40k in a heartbeat if it had (in addition to all the other new features) air conditioned seats.

oh I'm right there with you, I wouldnt even spend more than 30 on a taco but a 15 trd pro is 38k so I can easily see 2k more for a new gen and all the shiny chrome

In six months, there will be a $7500 discount on that GM.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that. They do on the full sizes cause FORD and DODGE do. There was never any deals on these when I was buying my Sierra. And the dealer couldn't keep them in stock. Thats like saying GM offers $7500 off on Camaros, which they don't. The big three have always had massive year end rebates on the big trucks. Unless sales are hurting on their mid sizes I wouldn't expect big price reductions.

And best I can tell the most recent of which came out in 2006. Just saying they'l likely use the pump they designed for the FRS. And for the majority of people that chirps.

Why am I underwhelmed with the tacoma unveiling. No hp or tq numbers, no mileage numbers just a bunch of generalizations, lighter, more powerful ... Ya, well I didn't expect it to be less powerful and heavier. Pretty disappointing half baked presentation in my opinion.

Re: Canyon prices. There are already deals to be had and 3.9% financing. You don't have to wait to find 4 to 5K discounts. Laura Buick GMC in Collinsville, IL is one place.

I hear this quite a bit but I personally see this as a bit of a myth. I've owned both a 97 and 2006 Tacoma, both built within the first few years of production and had little to no issues with either vehicle. In fact the only issues I've ever had with either truck have been common among all model years, this is with over 7 years and 200k in the 97 and another 5 years and 150k in the 2006.

IMHO I personally think that it isn't so much that new vehicles are prone to bugs as it is that we tend to hear about those bugs more frequently on a brand new design due to increased attention and interest. I think this was a more common problem of the past and therefore we all sit around waiting for something to go wrong. It's like the new corvette Engine problems we hear about, i don't really think its a common issue any more than if you look back at the previous generation, just that people are waiting to jump in and report the second one person has an issue.

    *Knock on wood btw
