Meh, it's perception. I've seen the Raptor before. I've seen several sitting on used car lots. My Toyota dealership had one for over a month - must've been traded in on a Tundra. Better yet, a Tacoma!

Sorry dude but that statement is idiotic, I love my tacoma, but my dad's raptor is night and day wayyyyyyy better of a truck than my tacoma or my buddies tundra. And yes he does take it off road and we have jumped it at the local mx track. Not to mention it rides great, etc. Just the gas mileage, but gotta pay to play.

He also paid almost twice what you did for your tacoma (brand new). If you were to spend the difference on LT and a supercharger, you would have a waaaaaay better truck. So it's not really idiotic of a statement. Also, let's look at you and your dad's resale value in say, 5 years?

True but the guy was acting like the raptor is a shit truck. For a fat old dude with his own business and $$ like my dad who dosent know who to make a LT truck the raptor was what he wanted and works for him and yes its expensive but its a fantastic out the box truck. But yes my taco will hold its value, raptors do for some reason too though, the used market for the 2010's are still in the high 30's pushing 40k. But yes give me a long travel s/c taco anyway (like yours)

Meh, to each their own. I'd never spend THAT much money on a vehicle like aRaptor. Yea I guess it's great for the weekend warriors that have that kind of money...but you can easily match the raptor in performance with a good MT kit, and still be about 20k in price below a raptor.

And I'm not SC'D LT yet. Sometime this year :)

For the record, got to sit in a 1st gen SC'd LT'D Tacoma as we smoked a Raptor in pismo. That was fun, and made me aspire towards the same in a second gen.

Not comparing just people dismissing or inferring the raptor is not a great truck. Cant really compare the two by any means.

I drove a 2014 Raptor, then got into my Taco. The Taco felt like a Matchbox car.

Raptors are the town slut. You get one, have some fun with it, rat it out quick, and trade it in on a keeper. That's probably why I see more on used car lots than rolling down the road.
