I think you'd be better off to rattle can. If you spent big money on powder coating and rock rashed them the next time you went out on the trail, you'd probably be pissed.

And i think their are darker TRD center caps....

That was my thought process as well...especially as I've gotten pretty good at rattlecanning after two sets of sliders, full skids, two bumper, and a lot of other miscellaneous stuff :)

I don't believe there are other TRD caps that will fit my wheels. I know one member (bullaculla I believe) makes custom center caps, and has made black TRD ones similar to mine in the past...too much $$$ for that though.

Not ignoring you. Snap A pic or link me to the part you need. I have two headlight assemblies, I just need to find the bag of goodies. Otherwise you can come my direction, I know a guy....

Still like the black. Looks kind of military and low profile. Not as flashy. :)

I like the overall look of black wheels, however:

    • From over 20' away, the details just get lost and the wheel/tire look like a black blob.
    • When the tires are anywhere close to dirty (i.e. not tire shined like I keep my tires), the contrast of a black wheel with a greyish tire just looks terrible to me. You can kind of see that in my Photoshop and in the picture below:

I'm just thinking out loud :) Still have two years to make the decision.

And I will be strict with myself and actually let my current tires wear out. You (and the other two people who actually look at my build :() can call me out on my bullshit if I cave and try to buy before then...

Gonna be picking up a 60'' Hi-Lift for cheap from my fire department tomorrow. We used to have a Rescue Engine (still a standard engine but had some extra tools for car extrication and some technical rescue) and had a couple jacks left over from when we sold it.

Anyone local interested in a 48'' Hi-Lift barely used? :)

48" isn't what my truck needs. However, something is better than nothing. Right? Get in touch. Looking right now for the small bag of goodies.

Should be the left (smaller connectors) but if you are coming by, just bring both I guess just in case.

When do you wanna drop by?

    We'll see... :)

Anytime during the day (prior to 1600) is good for me during the week...anytime this weekend is good too.

No rush as long as it's before the end of February (inspection going up)
