Why not? It'd be a great option. If CARB was the issue, VW, Dodge, Audi, BMW and Mercedes wouldn't have diesel options in their SUVs. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I would be very interested in a diesel option in a half ton or mid sized truck.

Haha, I meant the interior, but yeah I am pretty short
Diesel burns cleaner, the motors last longer (fix the frame issue), better mileage, and more torque. I've driven a D4D Hilux in the Caribbean, and that thing was the balls!
    Exactly! Murica

I would love a Jetta TDI as a commuter car. It gets great mileage and will run forever. Plus TONS of VW's to be had with 3 pedals

I never said it had to be a Tacoma diesel... Personally, I'm keeping my eye on the Dodge Ram diesel to see how the roll out goes. I wouldn't buy the Dodge/Fiat but other manufacturers might follow suit.

Diesels burn pretty clean now days. Debatable whether it's cleaner than gas overall but the new diesel doesn't have sulfur in it like it used to and the exhaust is treated so it's not emitting nasty stuff. They're a lot cleaner than they used to be.

I never really had a problem when I had my shitty old Nissans, either, because they always had dented bumpers and a bumper sticker that said "I brake for tailgaters"

    :notsure:

I hear you there, I wouldn't tailgate an old rust bucket with plenty of dents in the rear either.

    Exactly.

    Edit-
Uploaded the pics from my phone of the new (to me) Mosin. They're pre strip, clean & lube. I should have gotten some of it after I scrubbed it up, but didn't want to get gun oil and powder residue hand marks all over my phone.

Cartouche is still visible on the stock. So is the super high quality Soviet-Era craftsmanship. That line between the main stock and the lower part of the shoulder is hardly visible

Looks good, Noel. Your stock looks to be in really nice shape and you didn't have to go through the several hour scrub down to remove all the cosmoline!

Yeah, that was a nice bonus.
    :D

Edit- From what I've read online, the cartouche on the stock is evidence of a refurb by the military, most likely after WWII when it was being prepped for storage, and based on the markings on the receiver the gun was made in the Tula Factory in 1943. I haven't gotten too deep into it, but I want to try and find out what the rest of the receiver markings mean when I've got some spare time. Maybe this weekend on the train ride down to Boston.

Freeport has a decent amount of snow. All of mine melted yesterday with the rain. I would have rather had snow than nasty could rain yesterday. At least it looks like winter up here
