I to am one of those youngsters who don't have tons of money to be spending on my truck. I couldn't afford this bumper right now(that is why I'm glad the 2012 version isn't quite done yet. Gives me time to save up)

Yeah, I don't understand the people that are saying "might as well get a plate bumper." $300 savings is $300 in my pocket for other toys. And I'm not positive, but I think I saw the weight of this is something like 80 or 90lbs with a winch, so a suspension upgrade would not be required I don't think. That saves even more money over a cheap plate bumper.

Don't quote me on that weight because I couldn't reference it anywhere. Maybe someone else who knows could chime in.

I was interested in that aluminum bumper all pro was working on until I saw the Price tag($1500+). There is no way I could afford that any time soon. Plus I like the look of the stock Tacoma... That is one of the many reasons I bought the truck. This seems like a great option for me.

What does a typical warn winch weight? Honestly weight is what would keep me away.

...and that was planned but someone I'll leave unnamed had a 40mph fight with a cement retaining wall when it was icy... before he could get it all finished and pretty.

    john_wreck_2c702bf6f9fbf572c1490a2295cbff7bf49805d7.jpg

He hit it at a slight offset but as you can see the passenger side shackle mount took the direct impact but he says overall it probably saved his truck from a lot more damage.

First Taco mount built, first one to die. :(

... a moment of silence please.

I'm amazed at the number of people who want something for next to nothing. It isn't a plate bumper. It isn't a full-on ARB. It's half the price or less of most plate bumpers I've seen.

I like the look of my truck with the stock bumper, but I'd like to have a winch mount that has minimal weight. This solves all the problems.

If it ain't for you, either stylistically or cost-wise, quit yer bitchin'.

Personally I don't want it for next to nothing. His price seems fair, also I have a 2014, so I'm waiting. I to like my stock bumper. Plate bumper just do nothing for me and they are more protection than what I need.

Here's to hoping he will still do a version for my model year.

Same here. I'm wondering if maybe sales are slow for the older models because people have had those trucks longer and already purchased full plate bumpers. I hope the 2012+ sells better.

Brad I agree that you might be dealing with guys whose wants/needs aren't realistic and are frankly being cheap right now. My mom used to say "yours eyes are bigger than your belly."

Guys want a winch bumper but can't afford one, yeah ok!......I agree with a working a bit more with spreading the word. Put it up on Ebay and Amazon...there's a market there for people who never go on forums because they don't have time to tinker with their trucks or who have zero mechanically ability. They just want the toys. That's fine...you just want to sell product...and this is obviously a fine product.

It would be a shame that I'll be just one of three people in the world with a true ARB bumper that is this low profile and looks completely awesome. Their loss I guess. Maybe they'll go use the 500 to buy a stupid body lift and bolt on sliders.

Hopefully I can get mine painted up and installed soon so I can take good pictures and post here to help you out.

I have a 2014 and would be interested in a brush guard/bull bar that mounted in this fashion (removing the lower valence) That way the approach angle can be improved. But remain stock in look.

I was just about to pull the trigger on one of these for the 09 TRD sport DC 4x4 I just bought, then I found the Undercover HWMS, I like the fact I don't have to cut my bumper (of course I do have to take apart my entire front end to mount). since I am new to this wench thing as when I had past 4x4 I never used one, is one better than the other? or is it just preference?

Does this mean you stopped making the ones for 2009? or just cleared to make move easier?

Support your native Texicans, buy USOffroad. I have his mount on my 2013 and love it. Haven't been able to use it in a real situation, but have done some practice pulls and I love the integrated look.

Yes and they look awesome. Just wish I didn't have to cut the bumper. I haven't founds any pics of an install (complete, during or otherwise) does this mount to the existing bumper or replace it like HWMS. I'm just trying to be informed so I don't have buyers remorse. On the 12 and up it looks like that piece of the bumper comes off (finally some forethought by toyota).

I'll be buying one of these when my bonus comes in! It looks like some very easy to do cutting and dremel work to get this thing in right. I might even go with one of your Viper winches to match with synthetic rope. My buddy has one on both of his quads and he says the internals are great. Make sure you guys have some of that January production run left in February for me .
