First day driving my truck on the streets of the greater Houston area..

    My Truck:1
    PT Cruiser:0

Little back story..I went to my Park and Ride to find my van to get on the van pool (couldn't find it)..

So I naturally had to drive to the office.

There was an accident on 290..so I made it onto the frontage road. I was in the middle lane and a PT Cruiser was turning out of a shopping center driveway and clipped my passenger side tire.

No damage to the tire or anything on my truck..he however..had a crumpled driver fender and bumper and some nice big tire rub marks.

So to turn things around..I'm going to go buy a new tv tonight in hopes that it makes me feel better.:woot:

Damn. That sucks. But think about it this way, you did good work by getting one more PT cruiser off the road.

Sounds like he chunked your tires. Better have his insurance upgrade you to 35s.

You may also want to give me your rear fenders. With the luck you're having. They are bound to fall off

Looks like I'm deferring the marathon this year. :pout:

I guess the good news is that I get to attempt a 60M bike ride on Saturday, and then drink all Sunday morning while I watch the s̶u̶c̶k̶e̶r̶s̶ runners. :woot:

Good thinking. Its been awhile since I've eaten there and in fact I had completely forgotten about Beyond Burger.

    :spy:

    I feel inspired now.

Dislike! I doubt I can go 10 miles anymore yet alone 60.

I need to get my commuter back together :(

It's the only place around there that is any good. There is also Base's for nostalgia. I heard Fortune re-opened, but is under new management; their food used to be pretty flavorful and I would like to give them a try.

Kemah isn't too far, although if you are on a tight timeline it may not be worthwhile. There is a Hubcap Grill in Kemah now...it is tasty on most occasions, also the norm Las Brisas, Tookies, Pier8, T Bone Tom's, Bakkhus (although im my most humble opinion they have gone downhill), Seabrook Waffle Company, Outriggers, Opus, etc, etc.

I've been training with Karbach and doing decently on the 30M rides. Not sore afterward, and sometimes I'll do a jog around the block. I need to get back into riding to the bars. I do ride to D&T, although I don't consider >1M a ride.

I don't think I'd put my trust in Fortune anymore. Last time I was home, the food looked bad. And I'm a lover of Timmy Chans.
