No manual with the V6, says the website. Dealers can say what they want.

I have never been a GM fan, nor have I owned an American brand since my 1972 F250 in college. But I actually think GM vehicles are getting better, and the Sierra has the best reliability in the segment (Tundra included). My preference would honestly be the new Hilux, as I think it is closer to the original Toyota truck in terms of execution.

Anyway, like I said, I'll see what the test drive says. 9 times out of 10, there is no question in my mind after a test drive of two vehicles. All the debates go out the window and I know what I want. And I need to see the Taco's schnozz in person to know how bad it is.

He never said with a V6, only with an Access Cab. I was only looking at Double Cabs. That, and wife insists on an automatic after what she did to the clutch in my first car.

I'll be waiting past the first year and getting a 2017 or MAYBE a 2018 model year double cab TRD OR. Probably silver, and whatever transmission gets better MPG. If MPG is same I'll get the manual, but I'm guessing the auto will likely get the better MPG.

I'm going to be putting my 2nd gen up for sale in the next week or two and will just borrow my parent's Ram in the mean time.

Going to check them out for sure, but also want to know true owners experiences before I'd get one. If negative, I'll probably get a '14-'15 or wait for the '17.
    Time will tell.

This is how I feel too. I'm likely going to get one a few months after release unless something major pops up. Looking for double cab, not sure on trim yet.

If I didn't own a 2014 with just a tad over 5k miles, I'd be awfully tempted to wait for the 2017 version.

I have been looking to get a mid size truck for about a year now. I held back on a 2015 Tacoma to see what the 2016 would have to offer. After the pictures, and partial specs, I am leaning towards the 2016. I will test drive to make my decision but so far, it looks like I will have one at the end of the year.

Thanks for the recognition, and stalking me. And yes I do own a Tacoma but went from 2012 to now without owning one. Guessing by 2015 the same issues as my 2005, and 2010 wouldn't be there. But yet I was wrong. Kind of sad that from 2005 to 2015 the same I don't give a fuck about the consumer problems would still be there. Thanks again for the shout out.

Smart move by Chrysler. Let's take out a tried and true although dated motor and but in a crappier motor.

on the books to get a blue double cab limited with :

    tube steps black
    bed liner
    paint film protection
    exhaust tip

not sure on the oem tri-fold hard cover. we really like our access cover where we can use the full bed. I will have to research into the pro/cons of access cover vs hard tri-fold.

also I would love to swap the rims on the TX we currently have onto the limited, but I haven't decided if the limited rims are better looking or not.

I will have to let the warden decide since this will be her truck.

have to see if the BSM/Cross traffic are on option or standard on the limited. typically on Toyota's its an option.

If my truck gets totaled, yes. If not, it will likely be another 175k miles before I get anything else. So maybe in 2017.

The lease on my '13 ends in December 2016, and I'm totally in for a '16 DCSB TRD Sport or Offroad (not sure which one yet).

What an argument .. I'd take 'doesn't look stupid' and 'better interior design' over reliability any day ...

I am probably gonna look to go back to train commuting either by the end of the year, or next year. If I do, I will eventually get a 2017.
