    Evening all:
Welcome to a couple new guys, pull up a chair there's still plenty of room on the porch.

Paul; I had posted awhile ago about something similar. I pulled a small block out of a buddies 67 vette and installed a 427 in it. He offered to pay me but he had done me various small favors so I told him I would do it if he just kept doing the little things for me here and there. I'm happy, he's happy!
OH! Did I mention; he's a sign painter and can make any vinyl design/decals that I want. :D
Here's the other thing: I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO DO IT, but he's a good guy and it came under "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"
I call him> Dennis the mechanical menace, so for him to do it---!
I didn't have as many hrs. in it as you did, but exactly, that's what friends are for!!!!!!

Just saw the other two posts and I agree with them also. Enjoy, and think of your friend every time you drive it, I'm sure his wife had some idea that he wanted you to have it.

I love that song. In this context, I smiled as the tear ran down my cheek. ;)

Made me think of another one I really like. Thinking of 'em ... and never forgetting is the best tribute. IMHO

    Good morning all!

I say enjoy the ride and be thankful for the friendship. Unfortunately, pain is as much a part of life as joy. Even though we wish for more joy, it can be as difficult to live with one as the other. Often one follows from the other, it's all just life.

    HI all!

New to the forum - wondering if I can join you?

I'm not quite eligible for the 60+ thread, but since there is no 50+ thread, I thought it might be OK.

Worked on the kitchen today. Purchased the light switches and outlet covers today from HD. My neighbor was able to get me a 10% discount. Also purchased a hanging pendant from an on line company. Called to ask a question about the fixture and received an additional $25 off. Feeling pretty good right about now.

Welcome Scott. There is a 50's thread but it is not very active. Beverages are in the cooler to your right.
