I was waiting for this

 

Headed over to get a new windshield installed, after an old man jetted across traffic and t-boned a suburban next to me, his bumper flying into me. $166 and hopefully being reimbursed by insurance.

 

Sat in it for 30 minutes dicking around with radio settings for the pioneer headunit and searching the net for a way to reflash it to linux or otherwise mod it, on my lunch break, then got bored and went back to class. Then stopped on the way home for Hawk Ceramic brake pads. Just got done bedding them. Hopefully no issues in the snow tomorrow.

I spent about 2 hrs attempting to install my new backup camera and mirror. It was so friggin cold I stopped after installing the two components and then mapping out my wiring route. I'll wait for warmer weather to wire it up. My initial location on the top of the licence plate was a not going to work due to my led lights. I may still investigate that further I'd prefer to see it more hidden than at the bottom of the plate where I put it currently.

 

Ever thought about getting the tailgate handle from the 12+ Tacoma with a camera? Look a lot better and oem. Just a idea.

 

It all came down to financial. I could afford this kit and not the oem camera and mirror. I researched many different setups this one seemed to fit my needs. Plus I plan to add a swing out to my bumper eventually.

 

I got her back from the dealer today after the "driveline TSB". The truck drives great and is almost as smooth as my BMW!!!!
New parts from TSB
Engine mounts
engine mount insulator
4 pack leaf springs
bumper RR spring (no clue what this is)
Steering wheel damper

I strongly advise getting this TSB if you have a 12+ it is totally worth it.

 

What if you have after market wheels and lifts?

 

They won't do it. I wish they would have just told me this first thing when I brought mine in (told them upfront I had aftermarket lift), then I would not have had to wait a week for them to dick around while I rolled around in the loaner matrix/yaris/? whatever the f*ck crap car they gave me.

I asked if I could at least get the steering wheel damper and they said take a hike, mike.

 

This doesn't surprise me at all. You mess with the geometry, they're going to tell you to walk.
