Thats awesome. I want to do something like that on my tailgate so I can light up the ramp.

 

you joined the club….I blinded the crap out of a buddy following me the other night in his TL. I never tried them out on a vehicle…he stopped and said all he saw was white.

 

That is a sick boat…great music too man, looks like a ton of fun.

 

I'm not wiring them to a switch. Just directly to my reverse lights.

 

Yeah, I'm right at the point where any more into my truck and I'll be too far into it.

What if you need to use them on a trail when you or someone else is stuck, or at a campsite as a way to cook/set up/tear down?

 

Hmmm, then i'll have to look into a switch and the reverse light combo. Should be easy enough.

 

Let me know when you find the wire. I have the switch in place just haven't looked hard enough for which wire to tap off of in the cab.

 

did you wire yours to reverse and switch? or just switch?

 

exactly, you can get a lot more use out of them than just reverse lights by putting them on a switch. And honestly even though they might light up the rear as reverse lights they throw the beam pretttttty far back so not really directly behind you (at least in my application)

 

I just wired them on a switch. I figured if it was ever bad enough for me to need them as reverse lights I could reach over to my left and just click it on. Mine are mainly installed for utility/camping/tailgate lights with the "feature" of being used as reverse lights as needed. I personally didn't want those bright lights coming on every time I put my truck in reverse (unless they were wired to a switch to turn it off too)

 

This made me laugh for some reason.

 

I'm not sure how far back these will throw. They are angled down probably 30 degrees or so due to the high clearance bumper.

 

I hate tires! My project for work today. Mounting 35's on new wheels and installing a 2.5" lift on a rubicon. Then, I have to do it all over again on Friday for a wrangler Sahara something or other.

For those of you that might know my tacoma didn't quite stuff 37 13.5 toyos all that well welp now it should do it no problem at all but barely. If you can't tell the little circle in the corner is the intake hole for those familiar with the passenger side on a 2nd gen
