Yea it could be flashy, but contrast looks cool IMO, but it may be easier to paint it black to match the underneath of the truck

Shoot man if the PC is free, go for it. The Silver will stand out but it's different. I would personally go black.

FINALLY found a black TRD boost gauge for sale over on T4R and jumped on it! :yay:. Also ordered a new TRD dynamic tensioner and pulley. I'm getting a belt squeal at 3500-4000 rpms. I'm hopping this may fix the problem.

I would do black. If you do a light color, it will give the appearance that you have no ground clearance.

Tell ya what. Rattle can it the lightest grey you can find. That will be a $3 way to tell if you like the contrast before you commit with PC. My money is on you not liking it. Its just to.. light

Why not? If it's totally air tight, how would it not act as a ram air?

Ram air as like you think it will improve performance? The snorkel will have a lot of turbulent air flow. Plus its twice or 3 times as long as the regular intake. Just cause its more open to airflow doesn't mean its going to improve performance or anything by letting air in the engine easier.

Plus the drag and wind resistance of the snokle as a whole won't help any either. The sole purpose is to keep water out of the intake in high water.

It's not a ram air intake, longer tubing bends cause a loss in performance, true cold air, gain in performance, it's pretty much a wash, the main reason snorkels were created were to get your intake out of the dust. Water is a bonus. They aren't for performance they are to help prevent damage. :) and to get the bitches edit: beat me to it^^^

I'm not talking about performance gains here. I'm not driving a race truck. I'm just thinking that if it's airtight and the inlet is facing forward, the faster you drive, the more pressure is being applied to the intake air. That's what a ram air does, right?
