2016 TRD Off-Road

So its pretty clear not may of the people with push button start issues have ever had a keyless car. My 2 C6 Z06's where Keyless and it was awesome. No fumbling around for a key. I could start the car and walk away it will not turn off. If you try to turn it off with out a key present it will make sure you want to turn it off saying "no key present".

Its a great system, never had an issue. It did lock my wife out onmce when she had the key in her purse and she put her purse in the back hatch area and shut it before opening another door, but thats her fault.

 

the more I think about it, the more I'm "just fine" with my simple, basic, 10-yr old 2014 Tacoma!!

 

I'm sticking with my '10. I don't care for the fancy features. I'd rather they spend money on making the drivetrain bulletproof than on ass heaters and phone chargers and crap.

 

Or scraping the windows? Takes me 2 minutes to do all of my windows.

Why scrape if I can just let my truck run for an extra 10 minutes and avoid it? Work smarter not harder!

I've thought about a remote start, but the truck is parked so close to my front door I can be in and out in less than a minute. Plus it starts perfectly right now, don't want to mess with it by adding extra electronics for minimal gain. If I lived further north up in the frozen tundra where you guys live, I'd probably have one though.

I just meant that your winters are a lot longer than ours here in PA, so would get more use and value out of a remote starter up there.

 

48F in the middle of January? See you don't really need those heated mirrors!

 

We get cycles of warm and freezing weather here . I'm right on the coast , like sitting 100' from the ocean right now , really depends on the direction the prevailing winds and weather is coming from

 

Putting rain-x on your side views helps the ice and condensation issue.

Those doors look like they'd fit my 2008.

Not a fan of the exterior color, or the gauge faces. The taillights look better than the limited though.

There's a good chance it will come in more than one exterior colour

I'm hoping for Silver Sky Metallica, or maybe Impulse Red if Toyota is still doing that color.

No thanks. Waste of fuel and bad for the environment. Long periods of idling is not great for the engine either.
