I chose CBI over another brand on here with a thread because the CBI put the lights further outside, more inline with the window edge/frame of the door, opposed to the lights being nearly in front of the driver and passenger center view haha. Ill keep ya posted once I get them.

Don't get relentless. I have them and they suck. Toyota bought me a new windshield last week because of their tech not noticing them and slamming the light into the wiper

    whats up guys?

So i kind hate my welding teacher and he kinda annoys me and pisses me off. one min his teaching is good 2 min later it’s off the scale of stupid and not making any sense.

he likes to put in a safety video and than talk during 90% of it, but talk about something thats not even related to the video and talk lauder than the video. got on to me for having the lead over my shoulder and told me only pipe welders do that so we are not allowed to do it because we are not pipe welders. than yells at us and tells us to get as comfortable as we can than tells us we can’t get comfortable because we will never be able to be comfortable out on a job site. (IMHO having the lead over my shoulder and not supporting all the weight with my hand is more comfortable and i was told/shown this by someone who was not a pipe welder. did not know there was a LAW that says i can’t do this)

ok so monday at the end of class he told us that on tuesday to come in put our stuff in the class room and come down to the shop and see if he is down there and see if the stuff came in. 3 of us got there and did that than he got on to us because we did, told us thats not what he said at all and we are not listening to him. not the 1st time something like that has happened either and it’s only the 2nd week of school.

Time to start breaking out the trusty tape recorder and record all the time. But ask first and see if it's ok tell him you want to review at night or something .

hahaha i like the way you think!! I have though about that already. I’m writing this stuff down today. the video idea maybe something i’ll think about a little more. I don’t he maybe a good welder but i don’t think he is an over all good teacher.

IMHO he is the type that he if we complain to the people higher up he will try and find out who it was and single them out or just make the class that much harder for everyone. I think it is a lose lose situation right now, he talks about how the higher up’s wont just let him do as he wants. for right now i’m just going to try and deal with it. I’m writing this stuff down so that in a few months or something if i see a good opportunity i can show all the problems i have with him. 1 kid already dropped out or something and i know him and teacher did not get along at all. I think the teacher expects us to just know how to stick weld as good as he can when most of us have never touched stick welding and a few have never done any kind of welding at all.(thats what we are doing right now)

Seems like a douche. Hes right, in the field you won't always be comfortable. Hanging upside down, crawling between stuff sideways, having to reach your arms around a pipe to reach your welding spot, etc ...... y'all should be practicing those things as well. But no way will any one who doesn't know how to weld on a flat surface and just push or pull be able to weld any other way. That's like putting a first time driver in a 6 speed and telling him to get out on the road coarse during open track day. Maybe he should start by learning what a clutch pedal is first.
