seam like they are pretty solid little lights, so they just have to plug into power? then u have a little switch?

yup, from what i understand. the switch is more like a little key fob, so if you keep the power wire hot (truck doesn't have to be on) you can push the button from outside the truck and lights will turn on. could be cool for camping, fishing, drinking, outdoor stuff, etc...

is the sensor for the fob in the wireing for the lights or in the light itself?

I had some wireless lights on my old Ford, a different brand though. They worked great for Autozone specials, really lit up the peripherals and were the easiest things to install. My dad still uses them on the old Ford, you just have to keep track of the fob.

i'm interested in these. might wait and see more reviews or if anyone on here gets them and has input. as far as the fob goes, all you have to do is get some velcro tape and stick it to your roof, next to the map lights; or at least that's how i'd do it.
