Think I'll take a pass on a 2015 Inferno 4-Runner coming in this month and wait for this!

Climate control (Dual Zone?), heated seats, heated mirrors. Thank you Toyota for listening.

Now if only you gave more thought to exterior design

I wonder if I can fit those mirrors on my '15, and the seats too. I could live without the dual climate control.

Please do post a link, because I can't find anything on the internet that says ATRAC is incorporated into the crawl control for any Toyota vehicle with crawl control including the 16' Tacoma. It doesn't really make sense to combine ATRAC and hill ascent/decent to me, because they are different things that you might want to use separately.

In the 4Runner ATRAC is a separate button from the crawl control dial. Here is a link that has a picture of it, just scroll down the page a little:

That's a good point. I'll be interested to see if they size up, that would make a convenient retrofit. The seats should, I would hope, since the cab is the same.

Complete guess work at this point of course, but if I recall turning off A-TRAC is really only useful in something like mud. In most cases if in 4LO you'd want A-TRAC on all the time anyway. Given how confusing the 2nd gen controls are it wouldn't surprise me at all to discover that the A-TRAC functionality still exists and whether or not it is used depends on the MTS choice you make. In other words the feature could still be there but is now hidden behind a "friendlier" user interface without a direct button control.

Personally I prefer direct buttons for features and don't like the vehicle designer trying to out think me...

(Related side note - my effing Subaru forces me to use outside air when using the defroster - thanks bozos, I understand that is optimal for clearing condensation from the window but if some ass is rolling coal right in front of me I'd like to take the con please).

Rank speculation of course, but I'd give even odds that ATRAC is still implemented and just "hidden" from the user now.
