I owe about $9k yet. So. I could pay her off in a year if I wanted but the interest is low and it helps my credit so I just chill where I'm at.

Prolly will endup keeping her but I'll entertain serious buyers

Lol so you are going to make off with $1000 to pocket and put towards the diesel...yeah, dont sell that truck.

I do have a question, why did you ditch your shorty snorkel idea? I need one as I am now sucking in snow to the air box.

    $1,000 and no payments

Except on the diesel. Rather than 2 truck payments.

Also. Ditched it cause the taco doesn't have a flat fender or hood like the FJ's do to put the short. You'd have to stick it way out the side of the fender in a J shape to avoid the hood hitting the snorkel hat if you DO put it out the fender too. Just not an east project with our body lines.

I was looking at that but figured it could be done. Looks 20x better imo. I am going to order some UHMW sheets and create a new liner which should fix my issues.

I'm sure it could be done. But after hours of staring at the hood/fender transition with the snorkel head in my hand... I just couldn't think of a way to do it cleanly.

On another note... Anyone ever look at their taco and think about just going back to 33's with stock bumpers and just having a 'clean' look? .

Yeah, until I see a tacoma with 33's and a stock bumper.

Idk. I just kinda miss the all stock look sometimes. Like. 35's make em look mean. But 33's make em look clean.

Something like this. This would be what I'd buy if I sold the taco.

Just like how clean and mean they look at the same time.

Would love to do this in my 07 but I would have to switch over the weight sensor on the pass side.Dealer told me once the airbag light is on your system is off.I want my airbags.

I went to a local junk yard and got my seats from a fj cruiser it is the same as the tacomas and it was all black. I paid 300 for the set but I'm sure it might be cheaper now. As for mounting it can't be any easier you just need to get four more bolts that match the ones you took off the bench seat and bolt the buckets in. If you want to keep your air bags working you have to take the weight sensor out of the passanger side of the bench and fit it in side the new seat I didn't do this but I did keep all of the wiring from the bench so I can someday put it all back

Yeah, I don't mind the bench. Fits me and the pup well. I would just like control of a recline.

I think I would lose more money just being in vegas than if I were to go to a junk yard and got them. Why do you want a bench?

There's a thread here somewhere on how to get it to recline. Apparently if you grind away the side stop it functions like a regular manual reclining seat. Or you could do like Millertime187 and a couple others and elongate the holes that the long crossbar sits in in each end plate til you get the recline you want.

Nice! I have had just as much fun hauling stuff, as using the 4wd in snow and some basic offroading a few times, in the last 11 months. It is my first pickup, although i have used my cars as pickup trucks over the years, even reclining the front passenger seat of a saturn and getting a 6ft and 4ft ladder in the car.
