Make one...and start cutting. When you get it down to where it shades as much as you need - you are done! I think you might find it has to be pretty big to completely shade the screen in all angles of sunlight.

My question too. Looking for some (almost at least) watertight camping bins. These are 1/4 the cost of others I've seen.

 

The lid on my action packer fits pretty snug. With some foam strip it would be pretty water resistant.

 

I have action packers. I've never had issues with water getting in them. Even driving down the freeway in the rain.

 

Sounds good, but do they have the lock thing on them? I'd like to be able to lock them

There are places to put two locks on the handles. In the end it's just plastic though.

 

I would trust it back there....and you can put a lock on it.


Plus, you could put weatherstripping up in the lid if you were worried....

I can't stand my bed being wet. I love dry storage

 

I just have too much stuff in my bed now to have a cover anymore. I do miss it sometimes but it's not too bad.

 

I like it also, but its usually off in the summer and on in winter/fall. I would hate having a crap ton of snow over all my gear in the bed and also wouldn't like the weight of snow back there

 

Has anyone figured out a good way to set up puddle lights that shine from the bottoms of the doors? like so -



I have an idea how I want to do it, I just havent found the right parts to do it yet. I dont wanna use an LED strip and all the light covers Ive come cross seem to be too big

I haven't done it personally, but using the same LED bolts I used for my rails would probably be the easiest way if you don't want to use strips. Super easy to install, drill your hole -> put in LED (maybe add a little silicon just in case) -> tighten nut to secure -> wire to door trigger
