    That's $5000 Canadian. Then it'd take a good $200-300 to ship it to MT. After that I'm going to pay a duty of 7% plus GST of 5%. That's $5900 right there. Then, after all that, Toyota Canada does not require it's dealers to honor the warranty on parts brought up from the USA for installation in Canada. So attach whatever value you want to that.

    Cochrane Toyota agreed to the install and purchase of the S/C for $6250 plus GST. That ends up being around $5500 USD after install and taxes with full warranty. That's an awesome price compared to what it would of cost me to get it from TRDparts/Dallas. That's why I encourage anyone from around Alberta to contact Cochrane if they want a S/C, it ends up being a way better deal than bringing one up from the states yourself.

    All BS aside, my 11 had the TRD s/c with no gears and it was still a pig. My 12 is geared and locked front and rear, night and day difference.
    Bought a used one from CL for $1400, bought the fit kit from a local dealer so it was on my truck for under $2k, I just had to pay I think $175 for the ECU reflash.

    I agree with you. Gears are never a poor investment on the Tacoma when you change just about anything boost or tire wise.

    I'd love to do gears, but I can't afford that right now. I'd do lockers at the same time and most shops around here have quoted me somewhere around $3000 CAD. That price is for ordering gears from ECGS and the install locally, which was the lowest price I could find.

    Plus I'm not sure what tire I will run when I'm done on the stock size. That'd be helpful for determining which gears.

    As for the used S/C, lucky you. There was a thread on here not to long ago about all the guys who failed to get a used one installed because they were missing the injectors which seem hard to find.
