Does anyone know the distance from the top of the bedsides to the top of a Prinsu rack? I'm planning on a Prinsu in the near future and want to have my custom bed rack match the height. Thanks.

Make sure you let him know if you used spacers or anything else to give it a higher ride height than just bolting it on to the factory spots.

the overall height would through his dimensions off depeneding on how he goes about mounting his.

I posted earlier about grinding elevator bolts to fit into the track, after cutting and grinding I found an easier way to attach stuff the tracks on the rack.
1/4 carriage bolts slide right into the tracks.

I attached angle iron to mount my Maxtrax bolts to, I didnt want to drill a hole thru the cross bars.

+1! I think I am going to go this route. Would the slot nuts that came with the rack no work in those tracks on the side?

the tslots are the same on all sides of the cross bar so any hardware you find that will work should work on all of them.

I am interested in a roof rack for my 2012 Access Cab Tacoma SR5. Looks like this is one of the few for an AC.

Yep, There are thule and yakima options out there, and I believe that front runner industries modified one of theirs for a access cab but we have the only one really made and designed for the access cab.

It does require you to drill and install plus nuts as attachment points but is well worth it in my opinion. All the access cabs that have installed theses so far have had great results that look awesome.

I have one instock for an access cab now with more coming the end of the month. Let me know what you decide.

As long as you seal it well it won't leak. I have been using 100% silicone and another roof type sealant on mine. One for the trailer and one for the truck and a local fj cruiser. Both have worked well and fjs have a tendency to leak even with the factory rack. I just place a nice Hershey's kiss size glob right on top if the hole and then place the standoff on that. It will push the sealant up into the standoff and out around the sides. Put the rack on and thread the bolt through the standoff and into the mounting holes. It takes some sealant with it and seals everything nicely.

I cannot get to your website from here, will try from home. I need to figure out the cross bars and how the thing mounts, etc. From reading this post it sound like I could add more crossbars to the basic rack. Can these be added AFTER the rack is mounted to the truck? For right now I need to mount a pair of Maxtrax traction boards, later on perhaps a couple antennas, lights, maybee a pelican case for dry storage, etc. So I don't know the final configuration at this time.

The rack itself bolts to the roof of the truck in the channels on the roof. Crossbars bolt to the side plates and yes you can add more at any time but from the items you are planning the standard 6 would be fine.

I appreciate the fast replies. Would shipping to me in AZ (zip code = 85305) be lees than sales tax if I drove up to pick it up next week? Also is it painted balck or ??

Sales tax is about 6% but if you wanted to pick it up I can probably cover it. Shipping to AZ would be $45. The accessrac comes in a few options:

1: non-coated sides and deflector standard bars -$450 shipped.
2: powdercoated sides and defelctor, standard bars - $510 shipped
    3. powdercoated sides and deflector, upgraded black anodized bars - $600 shipped

If you are interested in purchasing pm me and we can work things out. I have a huge stock of upgraded bars I just picked up so I may be able to help you out on shipping if you wanted to get the third option.

Has anyone put a Thule on one of these? I would imagine it would be fine, just was curious.
