Don't you think they thought of that? You have to prove you are the owner, not just provide a number anyone can google.

Yeah Duh!, ............but what if you are buying from on online outfit? Will they request you to send them your insurance card or reg pdf to them? I think when it all boils down, no dealership sales dept is going to lose a $2K sale over this. I guarantee the guy taking the order probably drives a 90's Z71, and doesn't give a hill of beans what you do with the wheels after you pay for them.

It wasn't the dealership that was requiring proof I owned a TRD Baja, it was the Toyota parts distribution center. The parts guy at the dealership did not care, and was a little miffed that they could not get these wheels. And quite a bit more miffed when I got them elsewhere.

It is one thing to list it on a website, try and order it and see if they can get the wheels. I ordered mine from your second link, though also tried ordering from several other sites that had these wheels listed. The other sites all came back and either asked for proof I owned a TRD Baja, or just canceled the order.

I forget where I got mine, but if you go to TRDParts4u.com just go look at the TRD Wheels and i think they have the low profile 12 spline nuts needed. Pricey though...I think I ended up spending like 150$ shipped to my door. Waited like 2 days for Big O to get the "right" ones I needed and then they showed up and wouldn't fit, so I just got the ones TRD designed for the rims.

Also, I must have got really lucky lol, I originally had the black ones on my TX Pro, sold them way back in the day...about 6 months ago some guy on here was selling 4 graphites with tires that I showed up local for $850. Found another online on ebay for about $250 shipped....the last few months I've been trying to find one more and can't
