I'd say go to the Denver aquarium and get a private viewing of your families favorite animal, they have more than just fish. We got to hang out with a sloth for an hour!!

The railways down south are also awesome!! Cog railway up to pikes peak, or the royal gorge railway.

Also I hear there is a train museum that's pretty sweet, my wife and her parents went but I dunno where it is.

Everyone said most of my ideas already, but there's also the carriage museum at the Broadmoor, that was neat. They supposedly have a Pikes Peak Hill Climb museum somewhere too, opened recently I think. I'm just not sure where.

 

Cog Railway and Royal Gorge are seasonal so call before you take a trip down there. I still want to do the Royal Gorge dinner train and interactive Murder/Mystery show.

Then you could do a tour of Coors Brewery too if you want.

 

Or you could get a room at the Stanley hotel in Estes park. Those local businesses need all the help they can get.

we did the royal gorge railway for oktoberfest dinner this year with the family and it was amazing!!!! Id be down to go do the murder mystery dinner car with you guys. let me know if your seriously going to book something and ill check with the wife gramps!

 

Just make sure you bring an axe in case a door is locked and you need to get through it.

10-4 that would be fun. Thinking about tying in a stay at the Broadmoor with it over a weekend.

 

We stayed at an old hotel in Paonia, CO. one time and heard all kinds of creepy things overnight. Did not find out until the next day that the hotel was haunted.

 

If you didn't find out until the next day it couldn't have been too haunted.

Funny axes were brought up, this just came in the mail and will stay in my truck for camping stuffs

 

It's different when you hear things go bump in the night and attempt to wave it off to an old building. But then to find out there are actual claims of activity it makes you re-think everything from the night before. It enhances the "scare" factor.
