So I blacked out my tails a while ago with the VHT niteshade stuff but i just got pulled over and i have to take it off somehow or buy new lights. i dont want to buy new lights because that can be pricey. has anyone had this problem? did you buy new lights or is there a way to remove the spray????

Ha yeah i regret doing it now. i dont want any real cheap ones. i would love the stock 09's but they are like 300 bucks. i found some JDM ones that are barely smoked and i wonder if they will be any good. still 200 tho.

hey try looking at carpart4u.com they have LED taillights smoked, clear, and red for like $155-$160. i think they only go up to a 07 taco, but i ordered the smoked LED for my 2000 prerunner and love them. btw i think the brand sonar is a cheaper version of the spyders but same design. Good luck!!!!

Look up your state laws on blacked out tail lights, as long as your brake lights are visible from a certain distance you should be all right..

What would happen if you took a decent rag and some acetone and tried to remove the VHT Niteshade stuff? I bet it just might come off. If it works, it could save you a bunch of cash.

Or try using lacquer thinner. That gets thru just about anything.

I've used paint thinner on a rag to take vht off of lights before. Worked like a charm. This was on lights that had been painted for over a year too. Just remember to take the lights off of the truck before getting out the paint thinner.

get some sand paper syart with 150 grain and work your way up to 2000 grain and then clean them real good and wax the scratches out and they will look as good as stock
