front diff is an 8" just the like rear. There are plenty of people running 37s on the front diff with no issues.

Man it looks like you barely cut flare or fender. How much did you? That's all that's left. I just need a steady hand and stiff drink.

lol, well as long as you are smart about it, I've had my truck in double low gear with the front and rear diffs locked in some pretty hairy situations and I've yet to have a problem. I know some people who could probably implode the diff with stock tires on it. The two most common elements in the universe are Hydrogen and stupidity.

yeah 36"x12.5"x16" TSLs at about 60% tread.

LOL, I put them on last fall yes but I bought them used. I've probably put 5k miles on them or less. Tread really hasn't worn much from when I got them. My spare is brand new though and damn those new lugs are friggin huge

Ah, makes sense. The lugs are huge, I had them on a lifted 87 fullsize Blazer. I think I'm going to put the same ones on my 84 pickup this summer.

All this chat about 37" and 36" tires is making 35's seem more possible for my second gen Tacoma. I put 4.56 gears in both diffs last Fall and higway RPMs are 2500 to 2700.

What do you guys think of the Super Swamper SSR in 35x10.50x16? I like the skinnies and these have the heigth I want and only skinny if compared to a 12.50 wide tire.

I think its a solid choice if you're not concerned with wear. My SSs wore quicker than any other tire I've owned. That size is sweet!

Wheel spacers are here and with a little hope tomorrow I'll have the tires put back on and on the truck. I didn't realize our front hubs were so damn big. These spacers are huge

Because lift doesn't affect your tire size. Travel remains the same.

While I understand that. But lift aids in the clearance. That's why 6" lift is very minimal if any trimming, 3" requires more than most feel comfortable doing . I couldn't imagine the amount of clearing it would take to fit with no lift. You would almost have to cut the entire firewall out and re do it correct?

I feel comfortable that once my spacers are on I have done the necessary bashing and cutting to fit my 35's now.

Maybe if youre only mall crawling. But since the travel remains the same the tire will be stuffed to the same point no matter how high suspension lift you go (unless you decrease uptravel). Therefore it doesn't matter how high of a lift if you actually plan on stuffing the tire.
