There's still some out there charging crazy prices just to tell you what colors you can paint your house. I made sure to buy in a non hoa area.

 

I grew up with a neighbor that liked to abandon cars and rvs on our street. I dont mind paying the HOA a small fee to keep some folks out and keep the streets clean.

 

We've had quite a bit of problems with them as a department too

My hoa is awful. We have the stupidest rule. All of our Parking spaces are reserved for guests... The reason: because not every household can have two spots (the average) then no one can park there... They will tow if no guest pass. All because it may not be 100% fair... Fucking communists haha

 

Run flat tops? There's a vendor on here selling steel rail guards you might be able to put on top of a flat top style fender to support the weight. They bolt on just like the stock plastic rails. I know glassworks make a flat top bed side.

 

That sucks. My condo HOA sucked. We also could not park in guest spots. We had a 1 car driveway and a 1 car garage. The truck didnt fit in garage but my wife left before me and got home after me so I parked in the guest spots anyway. As long as I moved my car daily they couldnt do anything.

 

so then it screws up ALL the street parking? lol one of planners' worst enemies...

 

Well the funny thing is, the hoa is partially governed by the city since it is bmv town homes. For the most part it isn't a big deal. But from time to time I take up my side of the garage with a project, and then need to park on the street 100 yds away instead of 50 feet away it's just awkward. *bitchin over*

Yea I've looked into all of that lol. Also going as far as to have supports built off the frame up under the Glass to support it more. My issue is that the flat tops are wider at the top most the way, so I'd have a whole lot of glass poking out past the camper, would look super funky I think. I'm looking to maybe having some fiberglass molded on top of the fenders to flow up to the shell and make it look like 1 piece lol. That's pretty far down on my list of truck stuff though.
