2000lbs of force. The truck will only put its maximum weight on the shackle if it hangs by it in the air. The force exerted by the ground on the truck and the low static coefficient of friciton due to round tires will help the shackle :p

    ;)
Yup. Thanks to you too. If you recall, you pointed me in the right direction for my lift. Very happy with it.
I love the look of access cabs, TRD sports, and SWB. Jackpot! If I could start all over and choose, I would get a truck just like yours with a manual, but having a DC for so long I can't go back. My passengers would hate me. Plus when I buy a new Tacoma in 8-10 years, I'll have to buy a DC for the family. So I'm gonna live vicariously through your build page :p

    Awesome truck. Congrats.

Nope, no reason to trade that thing. I used to have an AC and if I still did, I would never want a DC. But downsizing is different. :(

What are your end goals for the truck? S/C? N/A monster? Grocery getter? Offroad machine?

good question lol. im not sure to be honest. what do s/c and n/a mean?

its capable of it, but I don't actually offroad. I never go to the mall, so no crawling there either. just the usual small town daily driving, work, food, etc. I suppose my end goal is epic coolness and enjoying the ride but keeping the additions clean and tasteful and sharing with my tw brethren. :D

edit: thanks peerunner. I don't intend to mod the engine any. I tend to stick to more visual and cosmetic mods.

Visual and cosmetic are my favorite. HP, TQ, and MPG are nice but the most important thing about a truck is how much you like sitting in it.

that's my favorite part! I haven't minded sitting in traffic since I got him, and the beefy suspension feels awesome on the road. :D

How do you feel about an interior 2012+ swap? I have considered this as I think it would really improve my 75 mile commute.

Christmas gift from my wife finally showed up today (NFAB steps). Also warmed up into the 60's (barely broke 40 for the last month) for the first time in quite a while so truck got a bath.
