Lift kit and tires...

OK... Im new to this site, i was browsing the internet for some new tires and a lift kit for my tacoma and here I am.

I have a 2010 4x4 double cab Tacoma and I want to add a 3inch lift to my truck, and also add some bigger tires to it.

I have seem multiple forums with really similar questions but not all of them have the same answers, maybe someone can help me with this...

if I lift the truck 3 inches, what is the biggest tire I can add to a stock rim(I wouls like to keep the 17) I was thinking a 275/70/17 would this be ok??

also does anyone have pictures of this specific lift and tire size?? if you do it would be great, thank you all for your help sorry for being such a rookie at this.

LOL. Im thinking the same thing. When I first got my taco I used the search feature and found my answers. I swear they should make a sticky with this answer.

ON A 2ND GENERATION TOYOTA TACOMA, THE BIGGEST TIRE YOU CAN FIT STOCK WITHOUT RUBBING IS A 31" TIRE (265) . WITH A 2.5" LIFT/3" LIFT, YOU CAN FIT 33's (285) BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO DO SOME TRIMMING TO AVOID RUBBING THE WHEELS AT FULL TURN/ARTICULATION.​

When I first came on this thing I didnt even know how to change oil but learned little by little. you will have to trim a little. But nothing much

 

nope. still gonna have to trim. the spacers are used only when trying to run bigger tires (like the 33's) with the stock wheels/rims

 

Yea. your not ripping your whole fender off. I have 2.5 inches of lift and I trimmed about a 5"x3" piece of wheel well on each side. Im guessing that a 3" lift would need less so you should be good.

O, and acesii speaks nothing but truth. Be prepared to let this site run your bank account. lol

 

By the way, like the red truck with the black rims, thinkig of doing mine black as well, any suggestions on how??(dont want to spray apint)
