Well, I finished the Mod!!!! But... I cant rig the needles exact. Im going to take it to the dealer to see how much it would cost to rig it to factory.

The gas is off pretty bad. I saw what you posted earlier on the form.
My needles dont come to a stopping point, when I try to zero them out so its just a guess...

my gas is bad off too... but the rest are close enough. mark them when yur truck is on and runnin where they are on.. .and take the cluster back apart and readjust the needles to pull back as much as they are off now... that should fix it

your needles have to come to a stopping point? all the gauges (some 6 and counting now) have all stopped when turned as i posted earlier?

if they continue to turn, did you jack them up beyond repair?

take your guages back out then turn the needle motors all the way counter clock wise, then put your needles back on lined up with the the first lines, hard to explain

when it gets tighter is where the stopping point is. take the needle off completely. Put the needle back on at a point opposite where its supposed to be. Like on the F on the gas needle. Don't push the needle all the way down just a little bit. now turn your needle to the E. you will feel a slight resistance. this is where the motor stops turning and youre spinning the needle on the shaft. Now keep turning till you reach the edge of the E. Then push the needle all the way down. if you get to the E with out feeling the resistance then pull it back off and move it back to F and do it again. repeat for the other needles. The speedo and Tach should be right on the zero line. the gas needle tends to sit off the scale when its off right on the edge of the F and same with the Temp Gauge.

    he already tried that...read above.

i posted a pretty detailed way to get all the gauges back, and he followed it, but still no luck apparently.

i'de be interested as to what the dealer says!

Well either he broke it or he's not realigning them right. but If they're moving at all ( off vs on) then its not broke. All the dealer is going to do is sell him new gauges. I seriously doubt they ever get into the gauges and do anything. they just replace the whole thing.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
I wish I could change my vote to "No Problem"! Started and finished yesterday. Didn't take me an hour like some, but only two cause I like to procrastinate.
Was smart and took a pic before for needle placement. Did good but the temp gauge is sitting a little higher than it was. Here is finished.....

Can't really tell from pics but tinted HVAC control bulbs red so they match the odometer now which has red LEDs behind it. Kind of a Reddish orange versus the stock amber.

Here are the bulbs, the blue in the temp control doesn't show up that well.
