    Exactly. Silver and white do not show minor imperfections but the other side to the sword is the colors do not reflect light very well so it is hard to make the colors stand out and look dripping wet. The colors absorb more light then they reflect.

    You are correct. My Tacoma is a street truck grocery getter and nursery center hauler. I am an old fart that still believes that a cleaner vehicle runs better. Not that it is always true. ;)

    I'll hold you to that ;)

    The light blue - shoreline blue - was my top favorite color but I don't see many of them around. When buying used you can't be overly picky....and I'm at the upper end of the pickiness scale already!

    Cleaner can run better - if you're paying attention to your vehicle, cleaning it, you're probably more likely to notice little problems, averting larger issues. Sort of a devil is in the details scenario....

    FWIW ... I wanted blue, but when I couldn't come to terms with the dealer on a new one, I stopped worrying about color when I entered the used market. That's how I ended up with silver. :cool:

    I may have the same mindset in another year. Son turns 16 and will either drive the Tacoma or I will pick up a used vehicle for him. When my dad passed my wife and I set 10K, from the inheritance, aside in a separate fund to buy him a vehicle. My parents, if alive, would have done that. They did the same for 2 of my sisters children. My son does not know this and is better off if he doesn't know. The fund is now worth a little over 15K.

    Another plus is my brother in laws sister is married to a used car buyer that works for a local used car dealer. Already talked to him and he said it would not be a problem to pick us a vehicle for us.

    Dad's green Toy - had this when I was a kid. Ahh...the days of driving around with dad, no seatbelts, no child safety seats... :eek: I cried and wouldn't talk to him for a week when he sold it (I was like 4 or 5)

    It is nailed down to the sub floor. I think if I do the basement, it will be glued. I would need to do some more research on it first.

    Tile is easy. Wood I believe needs some sort of moisture barrier on top of a slab.
