What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Not sure if the 98-00 Tacomas have one, but I just used the wire that powered the ash tray light bulb that I removed when I installed my cb radio in its place. Was a perfect wire to use as it's not attached to any other wires.

 

when u bolt that skid up let me know how it fits

 

Just needs to be buffed out a little...with a hammer!

 

Got em from Smittybuilt off Amazon for $100 each. They come with most of the pouches you see but I did buy a few others including a hydration and first aid pouch.

They're made specifically for Jeeps but they fit well enough for me. My seats were starting to tear and I needed something.

Thanks Dude... The one in the front is a Pelican 1650 bolted to the bed through its leg/stand things and then one in the back is just a case for my hi-lift.

Here's a better pic. But that's going be changing in the next couple of months with a custom bed rack setup.

My truck has no ABS and I did have to move the MAF control module and the cruise control box closer to the airbox to make room.

If you use the add a fuse can you still use the dimmer knob to dim the switches? Or does one have to splice into the dimmer to get the switch lights to dim?

Yes it is, cbechtold has the same bumper and added his own custom swing out.

However, I would rather make my own bumper (like yours) I had someone else weld this for me and it could have been better. Currently taking welding classes and I know its going to take a lot of practice and expericne but eventually I want to make my own.

 

Huh after seeing that photo I now understand why the mount brackets stick so far out.

It's a nice bumper tho
