    Their CAFE Fuel MPG is still much lower than it should be, compared to the corporate averages of other manufactures. They are working on making the wrangler get better average MPG before the truck will come out, from what I have heard.

    Interestingly enough, from what I have seen on the Ford trucks, the Aluminum body resists dents, and dings more than the steel versions. They are also going to use high strength steel in some places. As for the engine, the turbo'd 3.2 Pentistar is rumored to put out over 300 hp, and around 270 lb/ft torque. More than the current 3.6. personally, Im nailing the same MPG that I got with my Tacoma, so I don't think they need to get much more.

    Toyota has never been one to chase HP numbers. interestingly enough.......seems their truck is always the best performing in its segment.

    When aluminum dents, the metal stretches much more than steel, and does not like to go back to its original thickness once stretched. That makes body repairs on aluminum skin difficult. Replacement of panels should be just as easy though :D

    well well my jeep has arrived. it's not a sweet bling rubicon 4dr, just a 2dr sport but so far i've been enjoying it. a lot more comfy than my reg cab taco with a bench seat but not as comfy as my reg cab short bed f150.

    lift and tires ordered and on the way. keeping it mellow on some cooper 255's, but will enjoy the loads of travel with the rk/fox suspension.. next is enging/trans area skid, then winch, locker after that.

    hey, i thought this was a build thread!?!?....

    how were your break in mpg's? mine aren't great with all the warm up/idle time in these below 0F temps up here in canada. have just about 150 miles on it after a week and sitting around 14-15mpg's. my readings on wranglerforum.com show a lot of ppl talking about low break in mpg's. i'm running 3.73's with auto trans. i must be getting old, tired of manual trans..!
