So... Anyone have the part number for the AC/DC Inverter relay? I was doing this mod yesterday and dropped the effing relay into the engine bay, which promptly swallowed it up, never to be found again. I've spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out where it ended up to no avail... Took off the skid plate and drove around hitting every bump and don't think it came out.

Anyways, hit up a couple local auto parts stores but no one seems to have relays for the truck. I think it's a "universal" relay, but without a part number, hard to figure out exactly what I need to buy...

thats a huge relay to just up and vanish!

i would get a real bright flashlight and start searching, you will find it!

as far as a part number, 9008087024 same one is used for the HEAD relay if im not mistaken, you might be able to get more part numbers off that.

I've looked in every nook and cranny, but can't find it. Looked from up top and from below. So very aggravating.

    Thanks for the part #.

ND4 I tried your fog light anytime mod today and when I hooked everything up my fog lights didn't work. So I took it all off and made sure everything was seated firmly and again my fog lights didn't work. So I put everything back to stock and my fog lights won't work anymore. I looked at the 15 amp fuse and it was fine , but I replaced it as a precaution. Any ideas what the problem could be?

maybe it's the relay? perhaps try and swap in a relay from a different spot to test.

Probably borked the relay when you took it out. Like stated try using one of the other relays in its spot as a test.

Replaced my relay and fog lights are working again but couldn't get the mod to work so I think I might try switching the wires underneath. The pic below is how I hooked it up and I had my keys on the acc thing and didn't work.

its likely that your not wire that goes to the AC relay is not actually in the proper socket, it doesnt look centered like the socket is in reference to the relay.

Also, insulate the connectors at the foglight relay!

Front bilstein 5100 with OME 884 w/trim pack, 17" fuel trophy wheels wrapped with 32" toyot open country m/t, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover, Avec 30" led light bar behind lower grille, marathon seat covers in max 5 camo pattern, trimmed front and rear mud flaps, more to come.
Might be a stupid question but wouldn't it be easier to just extend the one wire (brown in the op original post) instead of having everything else extended? This way you would only have one wire running and all fuses sit in their rightful spot.

Unless you pulled the pin out of the "12 v switched on low beam only ". Line that feeds the stock setup from underneath the fusebox, or bent the leg of the relay you can't unfortunately.

Although that does give me an idea for an even cleaner form of this mod.... Hmmm

    Mojo,
Check the picture in post #351. Is that the relay you lost?

Yeah, the grey one. I've since gotten a replacement and swapped it in. All good now. And, hopefully it's good luck to sacrifice a relay to the Tacoma gods every once in a while...
