Sounds like your rear window bar is flipped the wrong way. Try flipping it over

This is what your bar should look like. This is the view from the passenger side, the right side of the picture is the front of the truck.

No I have the window bar correct. It actually fits nice and flush with the tailgate when I have it slid in with those rear brackets. What I mean is the rail right at the window mounting/corner bracket is raised just slightly and I think the tension in the canvas is pulling up against the corners. What I might do is scoot the rear clamps toward the tailgate maybe half an inch and see if that helps. Right now they are 12" from the end of the rail, is that how far you have yours or are they closer?

EDIT: I completely forgot to mention I'm running KB Voodoos flat bed rail caps so that may have something to do with it. I think the rails have a VERY minor downslope at the tailgate end of the bed

Oh ok I understand now. Mine are about 12" as well. If you pop the front upper support bar out of its slot all the way forward, does it sit back down flush?

Yeah I have no experience with them, but that could be an issue. It may be worth a shot if nothing else to get a couple more clamps from bestop.

On a side note, The front window tends to detach from the velcro anyway so some sort of securing mechanism may be needed anyway, and a lot of people have used extra clamps like the ones provided.

    This is what I used:

I'll try it out tomorrow and see if it settles down. Too lazy and chilly to leave my apartment to go check lol.

Thanks for the tips/help btw, definitely going to try the method you posted for getting the side windows all zipped up!

EDIT: oh ya definitely saw about the extra clamping at the front. I am definitely going to do that too!

Did you put like a flat piece d aluminum down for the clamps to rest on over the fabric?

No problem. Glad I could help. Good luck and enjoy the top! It is nice being unique, you never see them, and people always ask about mine.

I don't have a bestop and no idea how much fabric you have to work with but on my softopper I unbolted my rear rail and tucked the fabric down there and put the rail back on. The velcro for the back window is a joke, that spot picks up too much wind

Yeah there is no rail on the front, I used a piece of aluminum stock I had laying around to bolt on top of it

Got the side windows fully zipped!!! I was actually able to get them in by first seating the rear zipper and then pulling the front zipper into position without releasing the front bow. Canvas relaxed a bit since yesterday. It's parked out in the sun now. Real happy with the top! Next on the agenda is clamping down the front and I also want to do something about the buckles at the front because they knock against my rear window and make a little bit of noise doing so.

That's great! I don't use those buckles, I cut the slots but keep them in the storage bin by the tailgate. I have seen others wrap them in tape though.

When I open the rear to load stuff, I unzip to about 2" from the top and flip the whole window on top. This has been the easiest for me.

X2, don't zip to close to the top. I've done it way too many times by accident and the window pops off the track at the top. PITA when in a hurry.

    just got my softopper

it is perfect, easy to install, fits, tight, no issues at 85 mph on highway

using velcro on tailgate top will see how that goes over time

using velcro inside bed up front, will get 4 mini -c-clamps at hdw store and use
those if the velcro fails in heat...sure snaps would work but don't wanna drill bed
    if not needed.

after reading and studying besttop vs softopper vs others, softopper wins due to ease
of use and quality of fit. yep, I agree with all the positive info on softopper

Don't be afraid to use the snaps. Drilling the bed is easy and a non-event.

Yep, I used the snaps as well.

Then bought some industrial Velcro from lowes for the tailgate.

    wow

I thought (why who knows) the softopper would look somewhat cheesy

I am getting comments on it like "i didn't know those existed" and "it looks badass" no negative comments whatsoever

People LOVE my Softopper. So much so that when someone doesn't comment, I'm now disappointed.
