    Have a 1st gen Tundra with the 4.7...would love to have the same truck with the 5.7, or the 4.7 in my Taco like they put in some 4runners.

    BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Here is a dude on Buffalo CL with 2 sets (plasti-dipped black or new chrome) I think they'd fit but you'd have to be the judge of that.

    Is that the upcoming 2016.5 Tacoma? Looks nice and sounds like you got a great deal. The Tundra was our second choice when we were truck shopping but the Tacoma is exactly what we needed.
    Enjoy!

    That 4.6 has plenty of power. I test drove one and was quite impressed by it. Sounds really good too.

    Thanks guys.

    I had a 07 4x4 DC Limited 5.7L that was an absolute beast. But honestly I probably only used about 40% of what that engine had to offer. I'm not a "mod-er" so I think the 4.6L will serve me well. Probably the only thing I'll do to this one is get some better wheels, step bars and maybe a tonneau cover.

    Honestly I would've looked a little harder at another Tacoma if they just had some drivers seat adjustability. I just could never get comfortable in my Taco. Especially not for longer highway rides. When I saw that the 2016s had the exact same seat setup that kind of sealed the deal.

    He doesn't mod or live where it snows, so his odds of getting stuck on road are about the same as the amount of respect you showed in your post.

    Put a good/experience driver on that 2WD and he can go further than a bad driver with 4x4. Do you know why be brought that truck? It could be for family or work. Really... Who need 4x4 when all the truck gets is pavement and towing?

    @OP
    how much was the truck?

    I've had 3 crewmax Tundras. All treated me well, and when my 2014 work Ford FX4 Eco boost truck lease is up in a year and half I'll be getting another Tundra 100%.
