Sounds cool do you have pic of the pro your going after?

I just got a pretty good bargain on a 2014 TX Baja Tacoma which is the Tacoma Pro in 2015. I didn't know this going into the deal on the 2014 TX Baja I bought. I had to decide between the two and so I decided to same some serious cash on the 2014. Same options, packages, and extra lift from the factory. Only difference is cosmetic with the rear Pro name on tailgate (mine has black TRD only), hood scoop, and lastly TOYOTA Grille. I was already planning to do the Grille sometime in the future but may add the scoop and pro badge just to make it a little more custom or maybe not. Haven't decided yet.

Sounds like you made a good choice. I see you are in Kansas. I got mine at Hendrick Toyota in KC. You out this way?

I really like the Gobi but am kicking myself for not getting the Stealth design instead of the Ranger that I got. I have been consistently been experimenting with the fairing to keep wind noise to a low roar. It is getting better, but I think I have one more adjustment and I can get it just right. I have the ladder and it is totally separate from the rack. I might be interested in selling it. I dont think I am going to install it. I will hit you up if I decide to sell it.

Out of everything in these pictures, I think I am weird for wanting to know where I can track down that shift knob!

Post #2 has lead to one in the family.

The quality difference between the 4Runners and the Tacomas are night and day.

Nice work Jeff! You going to mod it out like your taco? You are right about the quality issue as well, it just seems a lot tighter, quieter, and more more stable. I guess that is what an extra 10-12 G's gets you though!

Mod it, lol! I was driving with my mother and stopped to check it out. Unexpectedly, she bought the damn thing to replace her Subaru Forester.

Lets get an update from you Tacoma > 4Runner guys. Hows the mpg? I can average about 19, up to 25 on my Tacoma. My drive to and from work tops at about 55mph, so just trying to gauge mileage.

My 13 Tacoma TX Baja DC has a very rough ride. Compared to my father's 07 Tundra - there is no comparison. My friends 4dr Wrangler actually rides smoother.

Ive got a very good offer from Toyota on doing a trade in and that's made me consider the new TRD PRO 4Runner. White or black, not sure... I love the white though, but black is stealthy.

Do you guys have any regrets from selling your Tacoma's? I feel like I would need the bed as soon as I sold it lol.

toyota will sell it to you right from their TRD accessories catalog ;)

in fact, they'll sell you everything to make a regular 4runner into a trd..except the red stitched interior but no one really notices that much anyway.

ideally keeping the tacoma would've been great, but a 2012 had too good a resale value not to take advantage of it to put a big dent on the purchase price of the 4runner.

i paid 39,6 for mine so there are dealers discounting them (arizona seems the best for it), just have to do your homework.

Up to 25? Seriously...man you drive too slow!

Mileage is around 16-18 in the pro, mostly in town driving for me, not much highway. the ride is 10 x better than the taco though.

I wished Canada would have gotten the TRD Pros then I wouldn't have had to wrap so much stuff on my Runner..
