What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Installed LR UCA's and All Pro end links yesterday.

Today I left work and brought it to an alignment shop at !0:00 am. I showed and explained to him the instructions/diagrams as to what the LR UCA's were all about. He drove me back to work. I complimented him on his D2 head unit that was linked to his Nexus 4.

Had a co-worker drive me to the shop at 4:30. There was a note on my seat that said his alignment unit had broke down. Shop was locked.

I think he was afraid of the SPC LR UCA's.

Head unit /linked cell phone / my cell phone #/ no phone call ..... WTF ???!!!!

 

17x8.5 same as my current stealth 6 in matte black.

Personally I would set the caster to the C or D setting and the camber all the way out away from the vehicle; torque the UBJ nut to 200 ft-lbs and then don't have him touch them. (I guess you could have him do it if he will). After than just tell him to use the lower cams to adjust camber and caster into the specs your want and then adjust toe.

That will widen out your stance and if the UBJ nut slips you'll know right where to put it again.

 

Just bought this tint from vato zone, I'm going to try to tackle tinting my windows. Have any of you used this tint? I'm not so sure about the quality of it but a few guys I asked at different stores said they haven't had any problems with it. Also, I've used VHT nite shades for smoking tails, never this rustoleam brand, anyone have any experience with it? Thanks guys

The nice thing about rivnuts is they work when nothing else will. I could not access the vertical space between the truck bed and the cab, so no room for fender washer & nut, etc, hence the rivnut. The rivnut when compressed will apply pressure to the bed between the rivnut head and the 4 flared edges.

They're made for plastic / fiberglass It works well. I got my rivnuts from McMaster in packs of 10 for $6.50 each. 97217A393

The silver custom made tool is like a washer with a handle at 45 degrees. I needed something to make sure that the rivnut did not spin while it was being compressed.

Today I put in a lot of L-Track down on the truck bed floor. In a nutshell, I dropped the spare tire and had a ton of room to work with. I'm using 1/4"-20 all stainless hardware 3/4" flat head machine screws, fender washers, and nylock nuts. I have a second batch l-track material on order. I'll make my own thread when I finish.
