I'm contemplating renting a lens for the Rolex 24hr race this year. I've got it down to the 300 f4 or the 80-400 f4.5/5.6

    In my kit I already have 28 f1.8, 50 f1.8, 70-200 f2.8

What about the 300/f.28? Beautiful buttery bokeh. Or the new 100-400?

You should be fine with the 70-200 if you have a press pass.

70-200 are usually the workhorses at the races. If you go large try and stick to a fast super telephoto prime such as the 400 f/2.8. But keep it on a second body. Speedhunters photographers post good info now and then. Learned a bit from this albeit done with film but the same applies
    http://www.speedhunters.com/2014/04/motorsports-photography-way/#chapter-exposure

70-200 is one of the best things to have in your bag at these events imo

I graduated in May (again lol), unfortunately which I haven't had any sports gigs for a while. I have found a few leads that I will act on for next year.

In between giving it away and selling it. Haha just want it gone, but I'd want to make a little back on it. Being big it may cost a bit to ship.

Edit: Im moving in May, so I may be selling a lot of stuff shortly. Haha I miss the days I could fit everything I own into a few bags in my cab and a few things in the bed. I want to get back to that.

    Nice photos in here!

So I just got back from the camera store. Gonna cost me $231 to repair my 18-135 :pout: pricey.

Also got to try out the new 24mm pancake. I love the FOV on it. Definetly going to get one next as a new lens. For 150 bucks it's a no brainer.

Not sure if I'll pay to have the 18-135 fixed or not yet. I do miss it sometimes..mostly the 70-135 range. Wish I could just get a 70-200L..stupid money..
