    '09-'10, because A-Trac

Quality went downhill after '10 due to production shift from Cali to Texas. :p

The best year would be 2013. But I would be happy with any Tacoma from 2005-2015

I voted for 08 because it was the last year for a mechanical lsd and the year before the nannies.

It might but at least people can chime in as to why they like their year better. I figured that now that the end of the 2nd Gen has been announced, it would be an interesting poll.

LOL ain' it the truth. I'm going to say best value by far is a gently used '05...like mine :D I do wish I had the tailgate camera and an auto-dimming mirror but those are easily available aftermarket. I don't do anything but normal driving with mine so the engine mount thing isn't an issue (and I check them each time I do an oil change).

    Yup.....!

I wonder how long it will take TRD to design a new S/C for the 3.5, if in fact it can be done with the dual type injection system.

Proud to own my '14, but I love them all really.

We'll see. The supercharger for dual-VVTi 1GR-FE was shown in 2012 but never entered production.

For me it is my THIRD Tacoma, the 2010 DC!

All three were TRD OFF ROAD 4WD Tacomas.

My 2005 DC had a few issues (noisy brakes for a while, and ABS not stopping truck on wet or dirt surfaces, 'clock spring' wire fail, and too soft rear springs).

My 2001 was perfect, but too small for my kids in back (Xtra Cab).

My 2010 has been as perfect as my 2001, but with the bigger size, good brakes, better rear springs, and the A-TRAC and TRAC systems, it has been an awesome truck. Made in Mexico at Toyota de Baja California. It is just over 5 years old and has 71,000 miles on it.

They may have run into issues during development (e.g. head gasket leaks before powertrain warranty expiry, etc.)

BTW, just what kind of scam is AEM/TRD pulling with the cold air intake? Damn thing looks like the stock intake with red paint:
