Agreed, some people just never know. Then again TW has a way of making me buy more shit that I want/need.

Rims and tires , exhaust , stereo , Bhlm ,Changed carpet to black from grey. toytec ultimate lift kit. Allpro front bumper and light bar. In process of blacking out interior. Otrattw switches, black vinyl armrest mod, clazzio leather seat covers with heaters, flowmaster dual exhaust, hornblasters train horns,
I did. Bought them off eBay for my first gen. The ride was horrible. When I got my second gen, I put a proper lift on it. Rides like a dream.

No way! That's impossible with a spacer.

I know your joking, but in all seriousness I've had no issues with mine. Rides exactly the same as before the spacer. That being said, I did that lift with the intention of doing it for looks only. Since then I've changed my mind and now I'm in the process of changing it all over. I just bought a pair of 5100 and 886x coils and ordered a set of LR UCA's. Sliders coming soon and armor are this spring.
As needs change, so does your suspension. ;)

    2012 TRD Sport - STOLEN! / 2016 RAM Rebel

    - Well, I started by putting Air Lifts on the rear for towing.
    - Then I put a Ready Lift 2 1/4' leveling kit 'cause the truck looked like a fucking door wedge.
    - Then I came across a set of MT Classic III's and MT Baya ATZ P3's for a song.
    - So then I needed clearance, so I bought a Ready Lift 3" SST kit (shoot me.... please!)

Now I've got a crappy 3" SST Ready Lift kit with 1" blocks. Original TRD Sport Bilsteins. My bad. Drives like a fucking tank.

I do have LR UCA's and All Pro end links on a relocated sway bar.

I need/want lift and clearance, but want a better ride for my mostly mall crawling rig, but need the performance to bounce across fields, and negotiate my logging road.

I'm about to put on another 152 lbs of Avid Off Road armour (lb/rbg/sliders) to protect the truck in the bush... not over rocks, as there is none of that here.

What shock/coilover set up can give me a true 3 to 4" of lift in the front without spacers or breaking the bank? Does the OME front kit highlighted above do this? Will it carry the weight? Will it give me the clearance for my 33's?

What rear shock can accommodate the extended travel of the rear block/bag set up. I don't want crap, but I want to stay on a budget and preferably Bilsteins (no $1000 Fox/resi needed as I have the Air Lift, which I need).

I'm tired of throwing money at this fucking operation.

I think that I fit perfectly in this thread, and should win the Complete Dumb Ass Award for trying to cheap out at first and spending more money in the long run.

The new trend that is starting is 5100 and ome 887x coils. More and more guys are doing it and have given great feedback about it.
The 887 is actually a 4runner coil but the same spring rate as the taco 885 only longer.

I run the 887s and OME nitrochargers. I have never ridden on bilsteins, but id prefer not to mix and match products.

I had spacers on my other truck and got pissed at the limited capability of prerunner and spacers so I sold it and now I have a 4x4 on coilovers :D

Started with a 40 dollar spacer off Ebay. That was like 40 bucks shipped. Put it in myself then spent about 3 times that having the truck aligned.

Now I'm running Fox 2.5 with dual speed compression adjusters, All Pro UCA's and gussets in front and Fox 2.0 with the compression adjuster and TSB out back. Oh and superbumps all around.

    many to come
My old 2010 started out with billies set at 2" and an aal then i quickly upgraded to a full ome with dakars when i got my arb bumper. My 2014 came from the dealer with a spacer... I had planned on already changing it out, but a move (thus buying a new house) and a baby on the way (required something a bit more kid friendly for the wife 2013 rav4) have got me waiting a bit. At least I have plenty of time to dream about ditching the spacer.

I'll add you to the thread because you are aware that spacers blow.

I'm thinking this thread should be sticky-ed ... lets get some more honest ex-spacer runners to join the list !!!
