15-85mm. I've got one, but I need to see what's up with the auto-focus not wanting to play nice all the time. I think it's just the friction ring that has come a bit loose and causing the focus not to engage. It's the one lens I miss shooting with since my move to full frame.

I remember Murph bringing that up a few months back Monte, I did use that method for a while but have had a hard time completely adopting it since my hand doesn't jive with the af-on button location super well. I'll probably assign this function to a different button though since it is very handy!

Nice shots up there, Jon is it? That ship is great but it could use some more contrast or shadow like the second shot IMO. The tail-light shot with the chrome is nice

Finishing some edits from Chile and will post up some of my favorites later :)

Been doing it this way for a long time.

The other benefit he doesn't mention is that when you press the shutter half way, there's a fraction of a second between focus and exposure where focus is reacquired. It doesn't happen often but you can lose focus-doesn't happen using back button focus.

I still lurk around in here :spy: don't have anything to post unfortunately, haven't had the camera out in a while  I do creep your Instagram quite a bit though.

I've got the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 and have loved the lens since I've had it. It was on my camera the majority of the time until I got the Sigma 100-300 f/4. Now that lens I love, it does great and is pretty damn sharp even at f/4 in low light situations. I use it as my football and sports lens, except basketball. The 70-200 is great for the money, though not as sharp as the L, and maybe not quite as fast of a motor, but you're not paying $$$ for it. Here's some examples of the 100-300.

I'll definitely have to! My fiancé and I just signed the lease to our first rental tonight, so maybe with much less driving back and forth to see each other I'll have more time to get back to things I miss, like photography!

    Thanks man

Here are a few from a recent trip to Chile, SA. More on my Flickr if you're interested. Shot a wedding while there and had a blast as it was my first one!
