Hey i'm new to mods and i was planning on doing my first simple mod this weekend. I was planning on plasti dipping my fenders, but now i'm having second thoughts. What do you guys think i should do plasti dip them black or leave them as they are?

Debadge it and/or tint the front windows to match the rear

If you do 'dip the flares, do the part on the front bumper as well... Looks weird the way he has it. I think it looks cheap though (think base model, or bushwhackers that you couldn't afford to paint)

Talk about a storm trooper! I think it would look pretty good on silver. Silver tacos with black accents always look great.

Nice thing about derping is you don't need to worry about second thoughts. Apply it right and if you dont like it just peel it off.

Yeah I agree. Some say it looks cheap and tacky, but it's your truck.

I did my emblems, rear bumper, grill shroud(before it fell off), top of the bedsides all flat black and my rims red and black with glossifier on the red.

I did some to see what it would look like them decide if I should actually paint it.

I like your fenders the way they are, but the joy of plastidip is the fact that it is fully removable.

If you're looking for first mods, there are a ton of awesome mods but some are a lot more bang for your buck and give you more satisfaction per dollar. Any time I buy a Tacoma from now on my first mods will be:
Interior lights LED conversion/Daytime running light LEDs
    Upgraded halogen headlights
    Weathertech Floorliners front and back
    Wet Okole front and back
    Window Tint
Sliders if they suit your needs.
Everything from there on is personal preference  have fun!

im still working on this list. some questions for you. Do the Wet Okole seat covers move alot or do they fit very tight and look proffesional. Also if im going to effentually get light bars such as rigid or a lower priced brand are the halogen headlights close to the same light color? one thing i cant stand on vehicles is when they have different colored headlights/fog lights/light bars etc. any insight on that would be greatly appreciated.

    1. The Wet Okole seat covers (Granted you get the correct fitment and NEOPRENE, not neosupreme) fit like a glove. Install is a little tedious and you must at least unbolt your seats (Sounds intimidating but really simple) for install. They do not move around at all and have adjustable buckles underneath the seat for you to tighten. They also make the seats a little more comfortable, are waterproof, and do not scorch your back in the summer. I can't speak highly enough of them.

    2. My upgraded halogen headlights are pretty white but I believe LEDs or HIDs would be whiter. You can definitely tell the stock foglights are yellow and the headlights are white when they're both on. The reason I did not go with LEDs, although they look better, is there are numerous reports of them failing within a year and I hear the light output is wide but not far. Others are happy with them. Depending on your budget I would just get the whitest halogens, or full retrofits ($$$)
