    Agitating the air by compressing it would increase air temperature , thus increasing the pressure in the ball , not decrease it

    Are you serious ?

    And even if your theory was indeed correct that compressing the ball would lead to decreased air pressure , why would all the balls be the same pressure given that they would all have been handled different amounts and why would this not be the case i every other game ?
