Adjuster just said he's looking at about $15,000 in damage and he would let me know very soon officially if it's going to be totaled, but it was looking good for me so far!

 

Just got the call back, it's being totaled! Bittersweet.

Over $15K in damage and with it being in very good condition it has a very high salvage value. The fair market value is $26,500 currently and he said he thinks it is going to go up a little. I owe $14,000, so I should have a nice down payment for a 2016, if I end up getting one.

When you do decide to go shopping for a new truck, go to McGeorge Toyota. It's on the north side of Richmond. When I bought my truck, they were $1200 under every dealer here in Hampton Roads.

 

Its going to be insane these truck's sell like Taco's at a Mexican resturant.

You're lucky. USAA totally fucked me when my wife's 2003 CR-V got rear ended by an uninsured driver. Refused to total it, even after appeal. After the auto body place got paid, all kinds of stuff cropped up. Busted A/C and a short somewhere in the electrical system. So now less than a year later I have to have the thing towed off and scrapped, and USAA skates having paid a couple of thousand. They're good insurance in the sense that you don't have to pay a lot. They're terrible as far as making you good on damages. Super bitter, I am.
