Just got this set up on my truck and the front seems to bounce a bit. Is this normal? I set the Billies at the lowest setting with the eibach springs.

It sounds like you have no down travel. Perhaps the coil spring perch is upside down?

Are you a 4x4 or a prerunner? Takes some pics of the perches and of your front axles if you have them.

Thanks for the reply guys! Its a prerunner. 6 cyl. I've had the bilsteins at the highest setting with stock springs but now with eibachs it feels bouncy so not sure if its just me thats used to the stiffness or if theres something wrong

Thanks for the compliment on my truck Rebel. My old leafs were "frowning" so i replaced them with new OME leafs, they were a upgrade in the Toytec Boss kit.

Is that a coil spacer Or a really thick steel top plate, either way I think that's your issue and why it feels so bouncy. That spacer isn't allowing the coil to sit correctly against the top of the shock/ spring housing. Is it the same on both sides?

I think its just a thick top plate. The owner before me was using spacers as a lift so that might explain the thick top plate and It's like that on both sides. So would you recommend removing them? Cuz all the bouncing is really annoying haha.

Those coils give a lot of height any way. So you don't need to complicate that with more which is what any spacer will do in that location.

No doubt some of the difference you feel is from the stiffer springs. Adding weight will make it ride a whole lot better.

Yeah remove them and get the correct strut mount/ top plate coil insulator. That spacer is compressing the coil too much and causing the bouncing. Here's a pic of what you need instead of that spacer...

I agree that removing the sway bar will soften the ride but to fix your issue at its source so it doesn't cause damage... You will need to remove that spacer. I took a pic of how my eibach coils are positioned in the housing so you could compare it to yours. I could clearly see that your coil must be compressed at least an inch maybe more. This is the reason why your ride feels so bouncy/ stiff.

On another note... The coil is sitting flush on that spacer but where is the top plate and coil insulator (rubber piece from the pic I posted)? Right now that spacer is acting as a "coil spacer" which compresses the coil, which eibachs should not be. After you get the top plate and coil insulator installed then you can add a small .25 inch "top plate spacer" which doesn't compress the coil. But all in all I would remove those spacers, install the coil insulator and top plate and leave it at that. After that, If you need more height then add the small top plate spacer but that spacer you have on there now is your main issue with ride quality and could cause damage especially when paired on an eibach coil.

    YOURS...

Trust me its the extra spacer. I went from a spacer lift to these, and when they were compressing them the spacer was making the spring look very awkward. So I had to buy new top plates. Just go to auto zone and buy some real quick and swap em out, that should do the trick

Thank you everyone for the help! I really appreciate it. The bouncing is really annoying so I'm gonna get the top spacer removed asap!

I looked at autozone and is this the only piece I need to replace the top spacer?
Is there any other parts I would need?

As long as you have the metal top plate then yes all you need is the coil insulator.

Hey guys I recently removed the sway bar with the setup after having it for about a year and it rides a ton better. I think mine sways a little more than most because I have uni - ball upper control arms...but I csnt complain the flex and overall comfort of the ride is alot better
