If I just get a cheap hand held CB for camping and wheeling like what we are doing out there will it suffice?

I just installed a cobra 75 with a tuneable firestik and relentless hood mount. And I stopped at local truck stop and had it tuned, swr is at 1.1 on ch 20. He said it'll be perfect for what we're doing.

I have used the the Midland 75-822 the past two years, it works just fine for close range stuff. It ran about $70 from Amazon I believe. I was using the magnetic cab antenna which gave decent range but got tired of it getting knocked off truck by branches so switched to the handheld and it still have enough distance to communicate with the lead or tail truck.

To be honest with a group this large people are going to get lost and stuck, and half the group will stop the other half keeps going some people will do their own thing so sometimes the cb's are useless and you just have to rely on the old fashioned phone thing
