I wonder how much anybody in this forum would care if it was any other team than the Patriots.

    I'm guessing very not much.

You've seen Washington lately, yeah? This might actually be BETTER use of government time and money compared to what the loonies on the hill have been up to.

Ok so lets pretend it was all matter of temperature. You understand pressure changes with temperature, EVERYONE does. So why would they fill the balls in a warm environment knowing it will change when they get cold? Why didnt the Colts balls do the same thing? So what you mean is the Colts filled theirs in a similar climate to what game time temps will be? Why where the Colts able to figure this out and the Patriots couldnt? Basically what you are saying is the Patriots are too stupid to realize it but every other team can figure it out, hell even you figured it out. So either the Patriots are dumber than 99.9% of the population, or they cheated. It has nothing to do with hating them, it has to do with hating cheaters. If my team cheats I would man up and admit they were wrong, but then again I dont know what its like to suck a teams nuts. I am not a fanboy of any team, I am a fan of the game, and this tarnishes the game

He'll be as coached up on what to say liked Bellicheat was.

"I had no knowledge" repeatedly in the first few minutes. This smart guy is covering all of his basis

The bottom line is that Brady prefers his balls 2 pds lighter. Brady knew they were illegal and thought he would get away with it. How long has this been going on? His legacy is tarnished like mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds.

I wouldn't go that far. 2lbs lighter doesn't take away his decision making skills, poise, etc. PEDs and under inflated balls is apples and oranges

You're not getting it. I'm saying it's possible the patriots purposely filled the balls in a much warmer climate so they would drop in pressure based on what the temp outside was. that wouldn't be cheating. But no one knows anything yet, and Adam Schefter reported the NFL is having a hard time finding any evidence against the patriots anyways, so... They probably weren't cheating, but all the haters already have their mind made up, and no amount of evidence will change that.

Lower, not lighter. 2PSI does not equate to a ball that is 2lbs lighter.

You don't think Brady grasping and throwing a ball 2 pounds lighter wouldn't provoke him to say hey what the heck is going on here my balls aren't right. Or, do you think he would just think to himself man these balls are different, I hope it doesn't effect my throwing.

2lbs of pressure does not equate to 2 pounds of weight, and the shape at both pressures is exactly the same. It's actually a weight difference of under an ounce... So no.

What you dont get is that is cheating. If you alter the climate on purpose so the balls would be under pressure that is the definition of cheating  doesnt matter if they let air out or purposely changed the temperature, it was deliberate. It wouldnt be cheating if it was an accident, but on purpose? Please

ahhh not sure i agree on that. KInda apples and oranges but Formula 1 teams and other racing teams do things like that all the time. Its bending the rules, but not breaking them. If they were at 12.5 psi when inspected, and they never physically touched or altered the balls and the pressure drops due to outside temperatures....you cant call it cheating, its smart, tricky and legal.

It's not cheating, there is no rule against how you store your footballs...

Football pressure is measured by a pressure gauge I believe... just like you would measure the pressure in your tires. Not sure you could use the weight of the ball, since PSI changes would account for such small of a weight change I'm not sure why you would do that.
