My lift consists of the 5100 shocks all around, front ones set to zero. OME 883 coils, and toytech adjustable shackles on stock leaf springs (since they were new with my frame). I did not use a diff drop or any type of spacers for the coils. I reused the stock bushings for the front struts, but I would probably recommend getting new ones. I also didn't get shock boots for the front either, if you were wondering about that. Keep in mind that with my bumper and winch, I didn't get a full 3" of lift from the front.

Always keep your trailer hitch in! Great protection against rear-enders. Not even a scratch on my truck. As far as the other guy, take a look at the bumper.

With second gens, it almost always leads to a totaled frame....

Are the first gens a channel frame or are they boxed? I think it depends on how bad you're hit. You can get a ticket for having it in here. I'd rather replace my bumper than bend my frame.

Several guys had it happen when they left their hitch in. For some people, the hitch stayed straight and stabbed through the other persons front end. Depends on what you're being rear ended with....

Well, like i said, depends on what hits you.

If you don't have a reciever, the frame will probably buckle.

If you do have one and no hitch mount in it, it can be shoved down and bend the frame down towards the ground. Which can almost always be straightened on a frame straightener and then i would box portions of the frame to make it better than just a bent back frame.

If you leave the hitch in, either the receiver will bend in towards the ground or the frame will buckle in the middle behind the cab resulting in a totaled truck

And my rear bumper caused some more carnage. My dad backed into it at his house. According to him, my "hillbilly bumper is too high." Haha

That's funny because my mom started calling it that today. My rear end has taken out 2 vehicles in the past week with no damage!
